LandWare LLC (“LandWare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our websites and applications, including YourPace and RunBuilder (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We do not require users to submit personal information such as name, address, or date of birth to use our Services.

2.2 Apple Health (HealthKit) Data

If you choose to connect RunBuilder to Apple Health, the app may read and write the following data:

  • Running workout data (distance, time, heart rate, routes)

This data is used solely to save your completed runs to Apple Health so they appear in the Fitness app and sync with other health apps you use. HealthKit data is never sent to LandWare servers, used for advertising, or shared with third parties. All HealthKit data remains on your device and in your personal iCloud Health account as managed by Apple.

2.3 Location Data

RunBuilder requests access to your location only during outdoor workouts to track distance, pace, and route. Location data is:

  • Used only while a workout is in progress
  • Stored locally on your device as part of completed workout history
  • Optionally saved to Apple Health if you have granted HealthKit access
  • Never sent to LandWare servers or shared with third parties

2.4 Bluetooth Sensor Data

RunBuilder can connect to Bluetooth devices including heart rate monitors, foot pods, FTMS-compatible treadmills, and Engo smart glasses. Sensor data (heart rate, cadence, pace, treadmill speed and incline) is:

  • Used in real time during workouts for display and workout control
  • Stored locally on your device as part of completed workout history
  • Never sent to LandWare servers or shared with third parties

2.5 Microphone and Speech Recognition

RunBuilder may request microphone access to let you dictate workouts by voice. Speech is processed using Apple’s on-device speech recognition. Audio recordings are not stored, transmitted, or retained by LandWare.

2.6 Garmin Data Access

If you choose to connect your Garmin account, we access only the minimum data required to provide our Services.

  • Structured workout data generated by our applications
  • We do not access completed activity history
  • We do not access health metrics (heart rate, sleep, VO₂ max, etc.)
  • We do not access profile information
  • We do not access device or firmware information

2.7 Wahoo Data Access

If you choose to connect your Wahoo account, we access only the minimum data required to send structured workouts to your Wahoo account at your explicit request. The same protections described for Garmin data apply to Wahoo data.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data collected by our Services is used solely to provide workout creation, execution, and sync functionality. Specifically:

  • To create, edit, and run structured workouts on your device
  • To send workouts to Garmin, Wahoo, or Apple Watch at your explicit request
  • To save completed workouts to Apple Health at your explicit request
  • To sync your workouts and preferences across your devices via iCloud

We do not use any data for advertising, marketing, analytics, profiling, or automated decision-making.

4. iCloud Sync

RunBuilder uses Apple’s iCloud (via CloudKit) to sync your workouts, completed workout history, and preferences across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. LandWare does not have access to your iCloud data.

5. Data Storage and Retention

  • Garmin and Wahoo data is not stored on LandWare servers
  • All workout, health, location, and sensor data is processed and stored only on your device and in your personal iCloud account
  • No user data is retained on LandWare servers

6. Data Sharing and Selling

We take a strict approach to data protection.

  • We do not sell user data
  • We do not share user data with third parties, except for infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate our Services
  • HealthKit data is never shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes, in compliance with Apple’s HealthKit guidelines

These providers do not receive Garmin, Wahoo, HealthKit, or location data and are contractually obligated to protect any limited information they process.

7. User Control and Data Deletion

  • You may disconnect your Garmin or Wahoo account at any time through the respective platform’s settings
  • You may disconnect Apple Health access at any time through the Apple Health app
  • You may revoke location or Bluetooth permissions at any time through iOS Settings
  • Because we do not store data on our servers, uninstalling the app removes all locally stored information
  • iCloud data can be managed through your iCloud account settings
  • No additional deletion request to LandWare is required

8. Cookies and Analytics

  • No tracking cookies are used
  • No analytics services are used
  • No advertising or marketing trackers are used

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. International Users

Our Services are available to users in the United States and internationally. Regardless of location, we apply the same data protection standards described in this policy.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
